Sensitivity
Do you suffer from tight, red, stinging, itchy, reactive, flushing or hot skin? Sensitivity is a very common skin concern among our clients, but understanding the difference between sensitive and sensitised skin is the first step into managing this challenging skin concern.
Do you suffer from the following?
What are the differences?
Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin is inheritied and is the result of your genes.
What else?
This genetic skin condition can be found in those who may have fair skin or susceptible to allergic diseases. If you have sensitive skin,
you may suffer from inflammatory skin diseases like Eczema, Psoriasis and Rosacea. Unfortunately, this skin condition cannot be fully erased BUT it can definitely be treated.
Sensitised Skin
Unlike sensitive skin, sensitised skin is a reflection of your environment and lifestyle.
What else?
Sensitised skin can be triggered by pollution, cosmetic and skin care ingredients, over-exfoliation, diet, alcohol and climate changes. This skin condition can be improved over time with the proper skin care regimen prescribed by our Dermalogica Experts to reduce redness and soothe irritation for long-lasting relief.
How can my sensitivity be treated?
Specifically targeting our clients who suffer from sensitised skin, in particular roseacea, is our New Signature Treatment, HealGLO. This treatment is designed to instantly calm irritated angry, red sensitive skin.
Our Dermalogica Skin Experts will perform gentle hydroxy acid exfoliation and LED to intensify the anti-inflammatory effect. Ionisable serums work to calm sensitised skin and preserve the delicate barrier of our skin.
